Peninsula YSA Camp provides a sacred and safe environment for all. We ask every camper to familiarize themselves with these protocols to ensure a respectful and secure experience.
Behavioral Standards
- Follow the 'For the Strength of Youth' standards at all times.
- Show respect to all fellow campers, staff, and forest property.
- Maintain a spirit of inclusion and kindness in all activities.
- Observe the 11:00 PM lights-out and side-of-pavilion curfew.
Safety Procedures
- The Buddy System is mandatory for any hiking or lake activities.
- Remain within the clearly marked camp boundaries.
- Wear appropriate hiking gear and protective footwear.
- Stay hydrated and apply sunscreen regularly throughout the day.
Emergency Protocols
- Assembly Point: Gather at the Center Pavilion for all emergencies.
- Report all medical emergencies to the Camp Committee immediately.
- Follow staff instructions without delay during evacuation drills.
- Ensure you know the location of the nearest first aid station.
General Conduct
- Maintain a spirit of kindness and respect for all.
- Follow the established camp schedule and curfew.
- Help keep camp facilities and nature clean.
- Respect the privacy and property of others.
Electronics
- Disconnect to reconnect—limited phone use encouraged.
- No large speakers or loud music during quiet hours.
- Keep valuables secure in a tent or vehicle.
- Embrace the outdoors by minimizing screen time.

- Respect sacred spaces and group reflection times.
Dress Code
- Modest activewear suitable for outdoor activities.
- Church-standard swimwear for the lake.
- Comfortable shoes required for mountain hiking.
- Heavy jacket needed for cool mountain nights.
